The development of a new material until it goes into production requires a certain number of characterization equipments (tool) to control their properties (dimensions, aggregation, chemical composition, thermal, mechanical, electrical properties, etc.) after each step of the manufacturing process (step). The sequence and mastery of each step allows to establish the “recipe” of manufacturing to obtain the properties.

These characterization equipments (MEB, AFM, TEM, DLS, DRX, SAXS …) generate volumes of data that must be analyzed automatically to allow the teams of engineers to quickly understand and optimize the manufacturing process up to its putting into production.
